Goals of the Knowledge Cluster Initiative

Towards the Creation of a Cluster Based on Advanced Preventative Techniques for Community Health

The Goals of the Knowledge Cluster Initiative (Second Stage)

In order to effectively and efficiently work towards the creation of a Cluster, we need to clearly show interim goals and constantly share an awareness of them among everyone involved. In the Knowledge Cluster Initiative (Second Stage), each region is required to do the following: "In addition to clarifying the regional vision based on a long-term perspective for the creation of Clusters, the Knowledge Cluster Initiative (Second Stage) requires the strategic development of wide-ranging activities for the creation of world-class Clusters. This should include the unified promotion from core R&D (the creation of "seeds") at a globally advanced level to its commercialization, the strengthening of the industry- academia- government partnership, and the expansion of Clusters." This shows us the need to brush up research results for commercialization, but also issues that any "system creation" that promotes these an integral part of Cluster creation must tackle.

This "system" is the "Regional platform functions to mobilize regional resources and continuously create pluralistic interpretations (this includes approaches that build integrally on the functions of publicity, regionalism, and human resources development that support this)." This "system" should be positioned as "the construction of regional platform functions" to be an achievement goal for the Knowledge Cluster Initiative (Second Stage) in the Greater Sendai Area
